The English-language Gordon Group site reports €207.3 billion spent on food and non-alcoholic beverages in Germany’s online and offline stores in 2025, and separately gives €4.1 billion as online food spending.
The Bell reports €204 billion in German grocery retail sales in 2023, including €3.7 billion online. RBC reports more than €216 billion in retail grocery spending in 2020 and at least another €10 billion through wholesale channels.
These are source-specific figures for different years and measures; they should not be treated as one like-for-like series.
